Also, Peter was probably holding on to that yellow thing on the plane because he needed to be on it to save everyone there…he was worried for their lives, not his own.

I think that Peter had to touch them, on the plain, to get their powers because, like Peter said, he felt weak(as in, he had no energy)….so Peter’s power of absorbing powers was weakened too, I guess?
